The new element on the list of asix communication drivers is the MicroSmart protocol driver, which is used to exchange data with MicroSmart controllers from IDEC.

The transmission is executed with the use of standard PC serial ports. Co-operation of the asix system with the MicroSmart controller does not require any interference  in the controller program.
