asix guarantees openness of the system understood as the possibility of direct bidirectional data access from the level of other applications conforming to the data exchange standards adopted in the Windows environment. In particular, Asix provides data compliant with OPC standards, respectively, for current data (OPC DA specification), historical data (OPC HD) and alarms (OPC A&E). Protocols DDE, OLE2 Automation, OLE DB, .Net and Web Services are also supported.

Regardless of access to single variables, asix handles calls to entire groups of variables, offering the data exchange capacity of a few thousand variables per second. Parameterization of the data server from a dialogue box and rich diagnostic functions facilitate the configuration and operation of the system.
