AsAudit - Systems Requiring Validation

The AsAudit is an advanced module of asix  that supports validation procedures required for SCADA systems designed for food  and  pharmaceutical industry. The AsAudit provides the following functionality:

  • User logon and authorization  – the module guarantees that no accidental person can utilize the system. Only the users logged into the system are authorized to perform the work. When a command is given, the AsAudit checks the level of user rights for the execution of the desired action and performs it only if the identified user possesses the appropriate authorization. Those mechanisms can serve as the basis for e.g. executing the control commands, opening a synoptic screen, visualization of the restricted variables, accessing reports, not mentioning the entering of application development mode.

  • Logging of performed controls – the system automatically records – in a non-modifiable log – the new control value, the previous value, the date and time of the control action, and the identifier of the operator (or operators, if the authorization required acceptance of the decision by a second person).

  • Logging of the operator’s actions – the system records a trace of operator actions, which enables a step by step reconstruction of practically every operation activated in the  system.

  • Application integrity control – the system creates and stores the system reference data at the moment of validation. The reference data is calculated on the basis of file contents considered as important for application integrity. It's possible to request re-calculation of the reference data at any moment, which, in the case of full compliance with the original reference, confirms that none of the files critical for application operation was modified in relation to the conditions confirmed in the validation procedure.

  • Operator notepad – the module enables “handwritten” notes to be entered into the system by the operator and browsing of such notes. Privileged users can attach their own comments to the notes, according to their rights, or edit their original contents.
