Communication can be executed concurrently through many various physical channels – the Ethernet network, field networks, serial links, the Internet. The resolution limit of data acquisition is one second. Apart from an abundance of manufacturers' protocols, many standard protocols, such as OPC DA, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus are implemented.
